The birth of every child is special and at #TeamTameside our maternity unit provides support to thousands of families in Tameside and Glossop every year, caring for women and their babies. We are proud of our multi-award winning team that strive to provide safe, high quality care.

The development of our midwives is so important to us; all experienced midwives are rotated throughout the service, providing care in all areas. This includes community, to further develop a sound knowledge base.

We offer excellent opportunities for newly qualified midwives, providing an extensive preceptorship package and full support from senior matrons and our practice development midwife. We currently have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated midwives to join our multi award winning team.
