We are proud to take care of the Tameside and Glossop community
Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust was established in April 2016. Previously, the Trust has operated under the identity of Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Tameside and Glossop Acute Services NHS Trust.
The Trust provides services for the people of Tameside and Glossop at the Tameside Hospital site; situated in Ashton–under-Lyne and within the surrounding communities of Tameside and Glossop. The Trust provides services for a population of approximately 250,000 residing in the surrounding areas of Tameside in Greater Manchester, and the town of Glossop in Derbyshire.
What it means to be a Foundation Trust
Employing approximately 4,000 staff, the organisation provides a wide array of community and hospital services. These services include: general and specialist medicine; general and specialist surgery; and full Consultant-led obstetric and paediatric hospital services for women, children and babies.
As a Foundation Trust, we have a responsibility to shape the future of our services. We are able to provide services to meet local needs with greater flexibility, and we are held accountable to our patients, local community and partner organisations.
Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust has a membership of over 24,500 public and staff members, who are the driving force behind the Trust. Our members have a direct voice in what we do and how we work towards a journey of continuous improvement and development.
At Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust we have a motto that ‘Everybody Matters’. By living our values and behaviours throughout the organisation, we are able to demonstrate that everybody really does matter.
