Radiographers
Our Radiology Department operates from four main locations on the Tameside Hospital Site, offering a wide range of diagnostic investigations, through to diagnosis. We provide many services here with lots of scope for progression, these services include Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, Angiography, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Plain X-Ray and Dental Imaging.
Our Team
Our Radiology department employs approximately 60 Radiographers and over 30 support staff, including supported under-graduates from the University of Salford Diagnostic Radiography Bsc (Hons). Our team has a variety of highly skilled and experienced staff who work autonomously with patients from investigation to diagnosis; as part of a multidisciplinary team of other AHPs and healthcare staff.
Our Radiology team consists of Consultant Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers, Specialist Nurses, Assistant Practitioners, Radiography Assistants, Clerical Staff, and Porters who all work together to provide efficient, effective and safe care patients. As part of the Radiographer team at Tameside & Glossop, you are part of the patient’s end to end journey with advanced practice and autonomy built in as part of an integrated care plan.
